While each home project differs in scale and complexity, we will treat every project with the utmost respect and care it deserves.

Phase 1: Initial Consultation

The goal within Phase 1 is to meet with you to gather your ideas, dreams and ideal outcome for your home improvement project. We can review design ideas, material selections and document existing conditions in order to accurately begin the design development process. Within the initial stages we find it helpful for our clients to share any piece of inspiration they can draw from. This may be a photo, a Pinterest idea board or a clip from their favorite home show.

Phase 2: Design Development & Budget

The second phase starts by taking what we learned from our initial meeting and utilizing it to start a working design. From this stage of design we can compose a preliminary budget to determine if there are any adjustments that need to be made. Since final material selections are rarely decided on this early in the process, we use material allowances in our budget so that adjustments for material costs can be made at any point with clarity. In this Phase as well as the one’s to follow, it is our belief that our unique blend of formal architectural experience combined with over 25 years of in-field construction experience make for a smoother process. In-field changes and adjustments can be made and verified by the same craftsman…leading to a smoother timeline for the you the client.

Phase 3: Scope of Work Agreement & Construction Documents

In Phase 3 we finalize our Scope of Work Agreement and begin the process of drafting Construction Documents. A review of material selections and delivery lead times will accompany this portion of the process as well. Some neighborhoods require the approval of a Homeowners Association and in this case we will file the appropriate paperwork at this point to help expedite the permit process.

Phase 4: Construction

All the preliminary stages lead to this….The work begins! During the construction phase our goal is to make the process as smooth as possible for our clients. We regularly meet to review and discuss any details that need attention and provide a timeline for completion.

Final Phase: Completion of Work & Warranty

The final phase “brings the project home” through completion! We conduct final inspections with the local building department (if applicable) and also complete a walk-through with our clients to ensure complete satisfaction!
